About this work
In an interior with classical columns and a view into a vast landscape, Eglon, king of the Moabites, lies dead on the ground in a pool of blood, next to him his staff and headgear. Several men enter through a door on the left, their hands raised in despair. Below the scene the name of the gospel and the verses, beneath that the title of the scene in six languages.
