About this work

The body of Christ is taken down from the cross by Nicodemus, Joseph, and two unknown men. Mary, John, and Mary Magdalene sit on the ground mourning. The scene is enclosed in an oval frame with a Latin border inscription. Print from a series on the Passion of Christ.
