About this work

A skeleton with a scythe, representing Death, stands on a chariot, which is drawn by two oxen. The dead and the dying are crushed under the wheels of his chariot. Two clerics pray for the souls. In the background lies the destination of these souls, they go to hell with the great mouth of hell and purgatory or heaven. Latin inscription in two lines: NASCENTES MORIMVR FINIS ...
