About this work

Merchant woman from Hannover, holding a flower in the right hand. A cap sticking out on both sides of the face trimmed with lace. A diagonally standing transparent, flat collar trimmed with lace. Tight bodice with a square neckline and a front panel ending in a point at the front, bragoenen and tight sleeves. Around gathered skirt over which a white apron. Hanging at the belt a purse and a knife.
