About this work
Woman from London, seen from the back, wearing a hat with a high tapering, straight dome, hat band and wide brim placed diagonally to the back on the head. Double-folded neckerchief trimmed with a strip of lace. Overcoat with bragoenen, long wide sleeves. From the front gathered and inside out, under the armpits, folded to the back and gathered. Foot-length underskirt. Open shoes closed with rosette, high heel. Fur muff is partly visible.
