About this work

Woman from Zurich, wearing a flat hat trimmed with feathers. A double pleated collar on a tight bodice with bragoenen, a V-neck and open sleeves in which the shirt is visible. Several cuffs trimmed with a strip of lace. Foot-length, gathered skirt decorated with horizontal bands. Long white apron with lace inserts and matching border. Long braid on the back ending in white cloth. Hanging at the belt at the front a pomander and on the side a knife and small pouch.
