About this work
Christ stands, the crown of thorns on his head and surrounded by armed men, before a man on a throne (Pilate). He washes his hands in a basin. In the background left carpenters are busy making the cross, right Judas returns the silver coins. This print is part of a series of twelve prints with scenes from the Passion.
