About this work
English woman with a cap with a turned-back brim at the forehead and which tapers on both sides of the face and sticks out to the outside. Over the shoulders a double-folded unadorned, transparent neckcloth, which in the front center is closed with an ornament and a bow. The petticoat is in the front center decorated with two vertically, against each other placed scalloped strips of lace or passementerie. A handkerchief in her left hand.
