About this work
A pig fused back-to-back with another piglet. They have two bodies with a total of four hind legs and four front legs and one head with four ears and two tongues. In the background a castle. In 1496 at Easter such an animal was shown to the public in Nuremberg. Perhaps this and this print refer to the 'deformed' or 'miraculous' pig that was born in March 1496 in Landshut and brought to print by Sebastian Brant.
