About this work
On the way Don Quixote comes across a cart with two lions, intended as a gift for the king. Don Quixote wants to show his courage and forces the carrier to open the cage. The lion feels nothing for attacking Don Quixote. Sancho Panza and Don Diego stand on a hill in the background.
