About this work

Left a dying man calls his two sons to him, the clever Christoph and the foolish Jörg. He orders Christoph to pack the family jewels and give his brother nothing. Christoph asks shocked what is to become of his brother whereupon father answers that Jörg will know how to save himself by his stupidity. Right two women who are in love with the same man, standing in a park in front of a statue. Philippine goes dressed in luxurious clothing while Caroline looks very modest. Numbered: 7 and 6.
