About this work

Sophie stays in an inn in Insterburg. In the middle of the night she discovers that a strange man is in her room. The landlady and one of the guests come running at her scream. It turns out to be 'Herr Selten' (later it turns out he is called Herr Less), a mysterious man Sophie met earlier on the way. To avoid compromising Sophie, he presents himself as Sophie's husband.
