About this work
Scene based on the poem 'Die Quelle der Bekanntschaft'. While clearing a withered bouquet, Klärchen throws the water out the window without looking. The water hits Karl, who is called up by Klärchen's mother. While drying his clothes, Karl and Klärchen fall in love. Numbered 178 in the upper right.
