About this work

Two representations above each other, separated by a band with German text in Gothic script. At the top a tournament is depicted: two riders go at each other with their lances, two soldiers fight each other with thrusting weapons. Below, a herald, kneeling before a prince, reads a document. Detail of the triumphal arch of Emperor Maximilian I.
