About this work

Portrait of Don Luis de Requesens, Governor-General of the Netherlands. He wears a short fur-lined mantle and holds a marshal's baton. He stands beside a draped pedestal on which rests the helmet of his armor. The space for his coat of arms is left blank. The background shows a city. Below the print, in Latin, are his name and title. Below the print, Dutch text in book type. Surrounded by an ornamental border.
