Aeneas visits King Latinus, who offers him the hand of his daughter Lavinia in marriage. On the right in the background, Ascanius, at the instigation of Alecto, shoots a stag. On the left in the background, the battle between the men of Turnus and Aeneas. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
