About this work

Hosea sits by the road, looking at the landscape behind him. Beside him is his eldest son fishing in a stream. In the left foreground, the adulterous wife with Hosea's two other children (Hosea 1). In the middle left, three believers worship a saint's image in a tree. The print has a Latin inscription with an explanation.
