About this work

Monk Sergius lies with throat cut on the ground, Mohammed sleeping against a tree stump. Servant of Mohammed lays the sword, with which he murdered Sergius, on Mohammed's lap. On a separate sheet a handwritten text of four lines in Dutch, quote from Karel van Mander about this print.
