About this work

Moll Hackabout is no longer in the service of the wealthy merchant. She sits on a bed holding a watch. Beside her stands a female servant without a nose, pouring tea for her. On top of the bed lies a box inscribed 'James Dalton his Wigg box', referring to the notorious thief and gang leader.
