About this work

The gentlemen of Vroncourt, Tyllon and Marimont, dressed as classical military leaders, standing on a large fish. Next to them another fish with a lute player. Above the scene an inscription in French. This print is part of a series of illustrations for a book about the festivities (including a tournament) in the ducal palace in Nancy on 14 February 1627.
