About this work
Christina of Lorraine (center) leads a young woman and a young man by the hand; behind her an older lady does the same. Around them soldiers and nobles; in the distance a palace with the coat of arms of the Medicis. Below the scene a blank margin. This print is part of a series of 16 prints (plus 2 unfinished prints) of the life of Ferdinando I de' Medici, intended as an addition to an already existing series of illustrations of the history of the Medicis.
