About this work
A rider points forward, where the troops of Ferdinando I de' Medici are marching. To the right next to him a sergeant with a halberd, to the left next to him a drummer. Below the scene a blank margin. This print is part of a series of 16 prints (plus 2 unfinished prints) of the life of Ferdinando I de' Medici, intended as an addition to an already existing series of illustrations of the history of the Medicis.
