About this work
Four pageant wagons (representing/carried Asia, Africa, Mars & Venus, and the Queen of India), two riders and six figures on foot, almost all with an explanatory text in Italian. These wagons and figures rode and walked in the procession that took place during the carnival festivities 'Guerra d'Amore', which Cosimo II de' Medici gave in Florence in 1616.
