About this work

A group of Roma has set up camp among a number of trees. On the left and in the middle some of them prepare a meal. On the right in the foreground a number of men play a card game. On the right in the background a woman gives birth to a child. Above the scene two lines of French text. This print is part of a series of four prints with scenes from the life of the Roma.
