About this work

Sheet with 15 depictions of theater characters from the opera "The Mute of Portici" (La Muette de Portici) by Daniel François Esprit Auber in 1828, about a Neapolitan uprising against Spanish rule, led by the fisherman Masaniello. The main character of the story is deaf and does not sing throughout the entire opera. Instead, she dances and communicates non-verbally. Numbered in the center below: N. 5.
