About this work

A wedding is being celebrated in a courtyard. Christ sits in the middle, next to his mother Mary. The bride and groom sit at the far end of the table on the left. On the raised platform in the background, meat is being chopped. In the middle foreground, a group of musicians sits. On the right, a man pours wine from a water jug. The two men behind him marvel at the fact that the water has turned into wine.
