The Holy Family sits with the young John the Baptist before a ruined building. The Christ Child sits in his manger and leans against Mary's thigh. John leans against Mary's knee and holds a small scroll in his hands. Joseph sits on the left. In the background on the right, a man peeps at the Holy Family.
