About this work

A gentleman with a hat on and a cloak over the left shoulder, a sword in the left hand, with the right hand and foot leaning on a low wall, seen from the back, depicted twice: left as a line drawing, right more worked out with shading. This print is part of a series of 48 prints (50 incl. title page and dedication page) with various subjects (among others men and women in various poses, landscapes, buildings and festivities in Florence). These prints may have been intended as drawing models.
