About this work
On the left in the foreground stands a man with bagpipes on his back, leaning on a stick. He and his little dog are just being attacked by a swarm of bees. In the background a house and some small figures in a mountainous landscape. This print is part of a series of 48 prints (50 including title page and dedication page) with diverse subjects (e.g. men and women in various poses, landscapes, buildings and festivities in Florence). These prints may have been intended as drawing examples.
