About this work

In the center in the foreground a commander on horseback, a baton in his hand. In the background right infantry troops at a camp; in the background left a battle before a walled city. This print is part of a series of 48 prints (50 including title page and dedication page) with diverse subjects (e.g. men and women in various poses, landscapes, buildings and festivities in Florence). These prints may have been intended as drawing examples.
