On the left in the foreground stands a gentleman wearing a plumed hat. He points to the right, towards the Piazza della Signoria in Florence in the background, where a parade is taking place. This print is part of a series of 48 prints (50 including title page and dedication page) with diverse subjects (e.g. men and women in various poses, landscapes, buildings and festivities in Florence). These prints may have been intended as drawing examples.
