About this work
Mary sits before a lectern with her finger in a book. She looks up at the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove hovering above her. The scene is enclosed in an oval frame with a Latin border inscription and cherubins in the corners. In the margin a four-line caption, in two columns, in Latin. Pendant of a print of the angel Gabriel.
