About this work

Christ stands in a water basin. He wears the crown of thorns, embraces the cross and holds a chalice. The scene is enclosed in an oval frame with a border inscription containing a Bible quote in Latin. In the corners the symbols of the four evangelists. In the margin a two-line Bible quote in Latin.
