About this work

An angel with a purse containing the thirty pieces of silver for which Judas betrayed Christ and the sword of Peter with the severed ear of Malchus. The angel also holds a torch and a rope; attributes of the soldiers who arrested Christ. Below the image two lines in Latin. Second print from a series of eight prints depicting angels with the Instruments of the Passion.
