About this work

Portrait of Albert, Archduke of Austria, below it his motto in Latin. He wears a chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. He is crowned with a laurel wreath by two angels. In the border of the frame the name and function of the sitter in Latin. Below the frame a representation with the allegorical figure of Justice embracing the allegorical figure of Peace (Psalm 85:11). In a frame a six-line poem in Latin.
