About this work
Nine numbered altar stones, of which numbers 4 to 9 are dedicated to the goddess Nehalennia, who in the second and third century AD was worshipped in Zeeland. She usually has a basket of apples with her or a dog at her side. The top three altars are dedicated to male gods, of which the middle one to Neptune.
