About this work

Christ sits with the twelve apostles at a long table at the Last Supper and tells them that they will fall away from him in the coming night. Visible is how the apostles react to this message. Right front on the bench sits Judas, his right hand on a bag of money. The supper takes place in the interior of a church. Above Christ stand in a niche the stone tablets of Moses. Representation according to Matt. 26: 31-35. Bottom in the margin a two-line text in Latin.
