Tableau vivant of the granting of the imperial crown to Amsterdam by Emperor Maximilian on 11 February 1489. The Amsterdam Maiden kneels before the emperor. Scene used in the water theatre on the Rokin. Numbered in the lower right: 8. Plate 8 of the illustrations accompanying the description of the festivities surrounding the visit of Maria de' Medici to Amsterdam from 31 August to 5 September 1638.
