About this work

Four representations. Top left: a woman kneels before the risen Christ. Top right: a man looks up as a sign of the longing of his soul for God. At the same time he detaches his soul from earthly matters, which lie on the ground: a globe, heavy burden and a yoke. Bottom left: a woman isolates herself to study the Bible. Bottom right: the light of Christ illuminates a woman in a dark room. In the darkness snakes crawl and a woman stabs herself in the heart with a dagger.
