About this work
Christ is taken down from the cross (Luke 23:53). Four figures, Joseph of Arimathea, Mary, Mary Magdalene and another woman mourn him. Mary has fainted. Bottom right lie the tools (hammer and pliers) to remove the nails from his hands and feet. The print has a Latin inscription.
