About this work
Medal hanging on ribbon with on the obverse a portrait of Johan Derk van der Capellen tot den Pol and an inscription referring to his return to the States of Overijssel on 1 November 1782, on the reverse a short poem in honor of this politician with the date of this event. The commemorative medal was issued to mark the abolition of the bailiff offices in Overijssel in February 1783.
