About this work
King David seated on his throne, tears his cloak apart with both hands in grief. He thinks all his sons are killed. His brother Sima stands next to him and explains that only Amnon is killed. Top left a cartouche with text in Latin. Seventh print from a series of seven with the story of Amnon and Tamar.
