About this work

Hercules standing on the bank of the river, with a bow in his left hand. On the other side sits the centaur Nessus, here depicted as a satyr, with the arrow shot by Hercules in his side. Next to him stands Deïanira, completely naked, with a cloak in her hands. Below the image a two-line text in Latin. Eleventh print from a series of thirteen with the labours of Hercules.
