About this work
Two men and two women pull and push a cart with the site of the Nieuwe Beurs. On the right, two figures complain about what is happening in the background. There, figures are shoveling sand into carts that they are driving away. On the left, people are pumping water into the dug hole to restore the Damrak to its former state.
