About this work
Christ, dressed in a loincloth and kneeling in the river Jordan, is baptized by John the Baptist, in the presence of other half-naked figures. Top left in the clouds the tetragrammaton and the descending Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. To the right in the background John the Baptist pointing with his left arm, surrounded by several figures. In the foreground on a stone four lines in Latin.
