About this work

The Feast of Belshazzar, King of Babylon, with his courtiers and women. Belshazzar, seen from behind, is startled by the writing hand that appears on the wall above the gate. On the table stand the stolen cups and dishes from the temple of Jerusalem. At the bottom in the margin a text in Latin.
