About this work
A cameo (Gemma Tiberiana) depicting the apotheosis of Germanicus. Emperor Tiberius and his mother Livia sit on a throne. The Roman general Germanicus takes his leave of them. Above them, the bodies of the deceased ascend to heaven. Below them, a group of barbarians captured by the Romans. The figures are numbered 1-14. Marked in the upper left: pag. 7u.
