About this work

The aftermath of the Battle of the Milvian Bridge (28-10-312). Right Emperor Constantine being crowned by Victory and listening to prisoners being brought before him. Center dead horses and soldiers lying and floating. Left the dead body of Maxentius being taken from the river. Foreground left a recumbent river god. Legend in the lower margin.
