About this work
Jupiter sits on a chariot drawn through the air by two eagles. Pluto stands on a burning chariot drawn over the land by two fire-breathing horses. Neptune stands on a large shell drawn through the sea by two hippocamps. The three gods offer their crowns to the putti in the sky around the coat of arms of Cardinal Scipione Borghese. In the lower right, an empty shield.
