About this work

The Three Fates with the thread of life. To the left sits Clotho (the spinner) who spins the thread of life. In the center sits Lachesis (the divider) who measures the thread and thus decides how long someone has left to live. To the right sits Atropos (the inevitable) who bites through someone's thread.
